an unprecedented move, course designer Phil Collard took drivers and spotters
on a guided tour of the course in advance of the competition. Here Phil
can be seen briefing the teams on one of twelve obstacles that he marked
out for them. This white stone has the look and feel of marble and is short
on traction, in contrast to the abrasive surfaces characteristic of popular
