wife Trudy and I chartered a 1979 Hinkley Bermuda 40 yawl in Bass
Harbor, Maine. We are experienced bare-boat charterers. Even so, the
boat owners required supervision for day charters, an understandable
requirement considering that classic Hinkley yachts like this one
cannot be replaced. Our skipper allowed us to take control of the
boat to our hearts content, and the day was spectacular. That's our
young skipper standing beside my wife. He provides his services in
this capacity without charge for the privilege of sailing this classic
yawl in seas that he has known all his life. |
