Jones' engine quit on "Rabid." Allan and his spotter Scott Lang
attempted to extract the pins that secure the hood in order to look for
the problem. At least one pin wouldn't come free, so Scott tore the hood
away. You could hear the fiber glass rip! The engine problem was quickly
remedied, but the Official told the team that they would be disqualified
if they proceded without a hood. They managed to get the hood back on. It
didn't look like it would remain attached for long. |
