Lillard prepares to take on obstacle 3 in his "Packard."
Neil's rig is the first to feature an extendable frame. He can extend
or retract his wheel base (effective vehicle length) at will. This
is a manual operation requiring removal and reinsertion of steel pins,
but it can be performed in under a minute by driver and spotter. |
